The islands Daphne Major and Daphne Minor are located north of Santa Cruz Island. Both these small islands are tuff cones.
Daphne Minor features no visitor site and the access to Daphne Major is highly restricted due to the islands’ fragile wildlife. Only scientists and specialized press can apply for a permit to visit Daphne Major. Therefore, cruise visits are limited to a dinghy ride along the shore to observe some of Galapagos’ most iconic sea birds. You can see blue-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, frigate birds and red-billed tropicbirds.

Highlights: Blue-footed and Nazca boobies, frigate birds, red-billed tropicbirds
Permitted activities: Dinghy ride
Tip: Bring your binoculars to get a better view of birds ashore.

Activities and visits may vary according to the cruise.
